there is Nothing ahead or behind This Moment
Note for the Reader in Live as if there is no Past, No Future
When we hear Osho speaking, he often uses the words ‘he and his’, but he obviously refers to ‘human beings’.
‘He’ is chosen because this pronoun simply serves an ease and flow of speaking. In no way does it imply that ‘she’ (or ’they’)
is being dismissed or disregarded.
Osho’s unique viewpoint regarding this is:
“A meditator is neither a man nor a woman, because meditation has nothing to do with your body;
neither has it anything to do with your mind.
In meditation you are simply and purely consciousness.
And consciousness is neither male nor female.” Osho, The New Dawn # 24

Going against the crowd and becoming an individual needs courage and single-mindedness. There is security in staying with crowd, while the unknown seems threatening.
In this series of talks, Osho describes how the journey from being a spiritual slave to living in freedom can be achieved.
First, the slavery must be recognized. Once seen, transformation and a new consciousness can arise, using one simple awareness technique that can be done anywhere, at any time of the day or night.

The book is a recent translation from Hindi. The original title is ASAMBHAV KRANTI which is published in 1969
“None of us are in the present moment. We jump into the future or back into the past, but we are unable to be present in the moment that is here – and only that has existence, only that is real.
Tied down by the bonds of the past and the future, man’s consciousness does not know the present. The past and the future are both man’s creation. They have no place or identity in existence.
“The future and the past are imaginary time, pseudo time, not real time. Real time is only the present moment. Those who live in the present moment can attain truth because the present moment is the door.”Osho
